The INXS sound is as exciting today as the day they recorded. Chris Murphy and INXS have re-united and Petrol Electric’s debut release is the INXS PLATINUM – Greatest Hits with a bonus live album.

The 42 track album contains not just the bands exceptional hits but also contains 26 live tracks that have been dug from the vaults and re-mastered from INXS live shows that span 30 years of playing to millions and millions of fans around the globe.

This interview was recorded just days following the release of 'INXS Platinum', currently only available exclusively in Australia on i-tunes, which within hours of release had hit the number one most downloaded.

INXS guitarist Tim Farriss chose the team at Strategic Media Solutions and Twenty5eight to create the radio interview special. On 'INXS Platinum - 30 Years In The Making' Tim says ” I’ve been recording a series of media specials with David (SMS) and Annie (Twenty5eight) over the past 2 years and have been impressed with their work. I mentioned to our Manager Chris Murphy that the launch of our latest INXS Platinum studio and live package would be an ideal opportunity to support the band’s philosophy of employing quality Australian talent on our projects. Chris had worked with David in the past, and within 24 hours we were all back together working on the project.”

The four hour special covers the story behind the studio and live tracks from their mix of 42 songs on the INXS Platinum package. It also chronicles the band's life on the road touring, with inside stories on performing live with other legendary bands.

The global launch of 'INXS Platinum - 30 Years In The Making' will be part of a staggered roll out over the next few weeks as countries like New Zealand, South Africa, The United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, USA, Asia and South America see INXS Platinum released locally via iTunes.
